We have had some great news from Torturas, Avatar Bumper Cars is getting a major update. This is going to include an online mode.
Avatar Bumper Cars is a great little game, but there is no doubt that unless you have a friend to play against locally, it is going to have a short shelf life.
Well not anymore, with the promise of the online mode this is going to be a game that will keep you coming back for more. There is no confirmed date for the upgrade yet, but we’ll be sure to let you know more when we do. So in the mean time give the demo a go, it’s free after all.
Game description:Avatar Bumper Cars is a 1-4 player arena battle game. Watch your avatar take control of a bumper car in one of 5 different arenas and face off against either your friends or the computer in an action packed battle! Use your car’s spikes to hit their gas cans and send them flying out of the arena. Will you be the last man standing?

The addition of the Rare-designed Avatars in the New Xbox Experience hasn’t amounted to much beyond an increasingly expanding virtual wardrobe. But Microsoft may have grander plans for the little guys.
While there are a handful of games that already support Avatars in-game—Scene It? Box Office Smash, Uno, etc.—as far as games are concerned, they’re just scenery. That may change, as Microsoft is surveying gamers on what they’d like to see added to the Xbox 360‘s Avatars.
One of the more interesting possibilities include “special avatar gear” that can be earned in a fashion similar to Achievements. Microsoft has hinted at this possibility before, but it’s at the top of the list of changes being surveyed. Also noteworthy are Avatars that are auto generated to look like their owners, presumably via the Xbox Live Vision Camera, and a set of “family” Avatars, including kids or pets.

The wonderful world of reals.
A funny advert from MS, it is interesting that they mention 1 vs100. Hopefully it will not be too long now.

A recent forum post by Capcom senior producer Daryl Allison hints that something to do with Avatars and Age of Booty will be revealed next Wednesday, March 25. The title of the post simply reads “Age of Booty – Xbox Avatars Set Sail.”
Intrestingly only a couple of days ago Pirate clothing was announced for Avatars. Are these two anouncements linked?

Brain Challenge just joined the short list of Xbox Live Arcade games that support Avatars, as confirmed by Major Nelson’s recent Tweet. Avatar support is installed into Brain Challenge via a new title update, automatically downloaded the next time you launch the game online. While we’ll take our cameos wherever we can get ’em, Brain Challenge wasn’t exactly the next destination we had in mind for our cartoon likenesses. Street Fighter II HD on the other hand … now that’s the kind of game we could really see ourselves in!
