Indie dev Jonathan Blow has said that his hit platformer Braid has proved surprisingly profitable, but that his next game will be “different in almost every way”“[Braid has] made more money for me than if I had been working in a high-paying job for all the time I was developing the game,” he said. “…it has been very profitable. I figured that there would be a core of people who would enjoy it, but I didn’t expect that it would be a top-ten seller for this long.”
Braid was the second biggest XBL seller of 2008, according to Blow, outselling Geometry Wars 2.

When quizzed on Braid’s anticipated follow-up, Blow teased that he is working on multiple projects, with his next title being completely different.
“I’ve got a lot of projects that I’m always thinking about, and I’ve got one that I’ve started that’s very different in almost every way from Braid.”
