Question: How did the idea for Graphspacer come about?

Travis Hopkins: GraphSpacer is based on a game Linetrix I released on the Commodore Amiga in 1997. The typical controller at the time only had one button but I wanted to develop a control scheme that offered the ability to shoot in any direction and move in any direction without having to turn your ship around or use a non standard joystick. That created the games unique control scheme. The new Xbox 360 title GraphSpacer is very similar except with minor tweaks and to freshen it up the vector graphics were made to look like pen and paper.

Question: How large was the team that created Graphspacer and how long did it take to develop?

TH: GraphSpacer was a one person operation and with my professional game development background in working on mega titles including EA’s Madden and NCAA Football it took only about two weeks to complete. My hobby is music production so I developed the music and sfx as well.
